Born to Run is a spec film created for NASCAR’s upcoming 80th anniversary, built around the simple idea that you’re only as fast as you feel. Looking past the spectacle of professional racing, I wanted to tell a more personal story through the eyes of an unlikely hero. Moving between a quiet garage and the intensity of 1950s NASCAR, the film blurs the line between reality and fantasy, giving anyone with an old car and a dream their moment behind the wheel.

I wrote, produced, and directed the project, leading the creative from concept through final cut. Shout out to all-around homie Bucky Gonzalez for bringing his DP skills, handling the bulk of the edit, and being a solid creative partner through all of the above.
